Welcome

Welcome to the State of Rhode Island’s COVID-19 Transparency Portal, where you will find how State agencies are using the Coronavirus Relief Fund, direct grants, and FEMA reimbursements to protect the health and welfare of Rhode Islanders and provide critical services.

Under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Rhode Island received $1.25 billion through the Coronavirus Relief Fund.

TThese funds were used to pay for items that:

  • were necessary expenditures incurred due to the public health emergency with respect to COVID-19;
  • were not accounted for in the budget most recently approved by the State before the public health emergency; and
  • were incurred from March 1, 2020 through December 31, 2021.

The State has launched a separate website, pandemicrecovery.ri.gov, that shows spending details for Rhode Island’s $1.13 billion allocation through the State Fiscal Recovery Fund.

Like all resources available to the State, we are committed to using these funds responsibly and with complete transparency.

Thank you for visiting the COVID-19 Transparency Portal.
